Some information about the Atlas of New South Wales
About the Atlas Explorer maps
The Atlas of NSW should not be used in location-based decision making.
Maps in the Atlas of NSW are sourced from a variety of datasets captured at various map scales, and are not guaranteed to display authoritative location or boundary information. The maps include historical content with no stated accuracy or scale information, and as such do not represent officially recognised boundaries and locations when zoomed in to large scales.
Rather, the Atlas of NSW is designed to display the distribution of generalised location information, for educational and discovery purposes only. Please see LPI’s SIX Lite Viewer if you require more detailed geographic information.
